As you walk the trail, you'll see a large vary of trees. If it's not winter, you'll see many wildflowers, too. Test your knowledge of trees, or try the quiz to see if you can identify wildflowers. Kids who do well at the quiz can print a certificate for their wall.

Bluebird box

Dozens of bluebird boxes are attached to fenceposts. Watch for the many songbirds like cardinals, redwing blackbirds, and of course, bluebirds.

Originally this was the route of the Credit Valley Railway. They finished laying the tracks in 1880, and it was taken over by CPR in 1884. Passenger service on this line ended in 1957, and by 1968 even the freight service was only occasional. In 1989 the tracks were removed. In 1993 the Grand River and Credit Valley Conservation Authorities acquired the right-of-way.
